Does anyone have expertise on the Waterloo Military? On the Badbea monument a Donald Sutherland who died at Waterloo is named. The JOG Journal publication in 1977 names others who lived near Badbea has having also fought at Waterloo. Those names are Neil MacLeod, Angus Bruce, Charles Munro, Donald Gunn Jnr, Donald Gunn Snr, William Sutherland, William Campbell, Hugh Matheson and John Polson.
I have a sub to FindMyPast that has a list of Waterloo Military but I have no way of knowing what regiment the above named men were in, nor does my searches in FMP tell what was the fate of the men I have searched for eg I can find quite a few Donald Sutherlands but cant be sure if any of them are relevant to my search nor what was their fate.
Any help or further information would be much appreciated.
