Week 4 in the Wick & District Pool League saw the top 2 teams play each other. Crown1 Traveled out to Lybster to play Bayview1 but were convincingly beaten 8-3, putting the Bayview team top of the league and still unbeaten.
The Blackstairs2 were also out in Lybster, and quickly went 4-0 up against The Commercial. But The Comm showed that "never give up" attitude, coming back and winning the match 6-5.
The Francis Street Club also had a 6-5 win, in a close battle with the Camps1.
Sinclair Bay gave a good account of themselves as they faced Camps2, but lost out 7-4.
In the second division, The Seaforth Club go to of the league as they beat Sasa's Cellar Bar 7-4.
It was a late night in the Mountain Dew as they battled against Bayview2 with the Lybster team winning 6-5.
Danny Cormack was the main man for the Queens2 as they won 7-4 against Mountain Dew2.
The Children In Need Pool Tournament was held in The Camps Bar Last Saturday with some exceptional pool played throughout.
David Hendry had a tough route to the final, including close battles against George Smith & Jimmy Riach.
In the other half of the draw Ryan Carter sailed through to the semi's where he faced Iain Jones. Jones looked unstoppable as he grannied Carter in the 2nd frame, but it was Carter that came out on top winning 3-2 in a match that could have went either way.
The Final saw Camps2 team mates Hendry and Carter face off against each other. The first 2 frames were shared, and with both players on top of their game it looked like it was going to go all the way.
But Hendry took control of the match, and showed great composure to win 3-1 and take home the trophy.
