Was this the guy who stood up and said that some people are actually better off due to the recession? Im not sure of the exact wording he used, and appologies if i missed something, but was any of what he said actually wrong?

I beleive his point was that many of those who have mortgages and whos jobs were not affected by the recession are now better off due to decreased interest rates caused by the recession.

I know that many people lost and are still losing their jobs due to the recession, and that those people will be angered by his comments. But at the end of the day, although what he said may have caused a bit of un uproar, i think it was ultimately true was it not?

BTW, I'm definately not a Tory [lol]

Not wrong, just ill advised given the general feeling of the mob being whipped up by socialist extremists.

Because Cameron knew very well that his comments would upset all those voters who have been negativley affected by the recession, and doing nothing could easily put the tories out of favour with all of that demographic.
On the other hand, all of those NOT negativley affected, and indeed those positivley affected, are unlikely to be swayed but such a move, or even particularly bothered about the mans opinion on the matter.

And one political party leader or another not liking what one individual says most certainly does not make it incorrect.

I see they've been at it again  I do hope an officer of the law helps them all down the stairs on the way to the cells.

Have I missed something, have the MP's been caught fiddling their expenses again. ;)
