help, thinkpoint message has come up on my laptop & wont let me onto the internet, can anyone give advice please.

I do not know how computer savvy you are but here is a possible solution to your problem


Turn the computer off and back on
Press f8 at startup
Select "enter safe mode with networking"
Log in
Hold Ctrl Shift Escape or Ctrl Alt Del to open task manager
If you can recognize the virus running, end it. (it could look a variety of ways, currently seems to include the word "hot" and or *32)
Go to File in the task manager and click new task
Type explorer.exe and the desktop will load
Then do a system restore (if you don't know where it is, you can do a search)

use a pen stick and transfer the hunter program via the download button to the infected computer and run it.

if not

download combofix from the bleeping computer website

and run that via a penstick.
