Will Orange nick my money?

I have a 6 year old Motorola mobile which has suddenly decided to blue-screen on me. I can't get it to do anything, so I guess it's R.I.P ed, but it still has about £40 credit on it. If I have to buy a new phone, is there any way I can get Orange to refund the money? Looking around online, I can't see how to do this, even if you buy another Orange phone.

The money goes with the sim not the phone so it will work on any phone so dont worry about it.

yep i take it this is a PAYG phone?

just put the sim in any old phone as long as its orange or its unlocked for all networks.

pers i wouldn't go buying an 'orange' shop phone. they are very over priced.

many places unlock phones
its not illegal either
you can also do it yourself for free if you have the usb lead for the phone by looking on line.

or for a small fee, there are websites that will unlock a phone for you if you provide the IMEI number
