The Wick And District Pool League season got underway on Monday with the top 3 teams from last season all clinching a victory.
Blackstairs1 defeated the newly promoted Camps1 8-3 with Perry Campbell, Stuart Mackenzie and Darren Goodwill winning all of their singles, doubles and trebles matches.
Defending champions Camps2 had a tough match against The Commercial, eventually beating them 7-4.
Sinclair Bay made the journey out to lybster and gave a good account of themselves but just lost out 6-5 against Bayview1.
Crown1 won 7-4 against the Blackstairs2 and Queens1 forfeited their match handing the Francis Street Club an 11-0 victory.
In the 2nd Division both Mountain Dew teams won comfortably, and the Seaforth Club played their first ever match in the pool league winning 8-3 against the Crown2.
