has anybody had the outside of their house painted in that waterproof paint that's guaranteed for 15 years? if so, would you recommend it? which company did you use? how much did it cost? we have a 2 up 2 down traditional croft house and are looking at options for getting it painted. thanks.

We used International ranch paint for ours. It is excellent. They have repackaged it now as International exterior gloss but it really is a very good paint.
I did not use a company though - painted it all myself.
I have a friend who swears by Sadolin but I do not think the finish ooks as good as International.
Being an Ex Lighthousr Keeper I can say that the paint we used to keep the Lighthouse White is one of the Best and that is Sandtex. You can find out more information at their web page :-

.
And if you have any paint left when you're finished could you paint that big round thing on the coast near Reay?
I hear it needs it. :)
