It's been bugging me ever since I saw this bird at Brough Harbour earlier in the week smaller that a Dunlin or a Sanderling but with similar colouring to the latter although the back feathers seemed more marked.
Not sure how prevelant they are at this time of year and I know how easy it is to confuse waders,was the size that made me have a long hard look and they don't all line up by species which would make life alot easier!
Did n't get the chance for a picture as the seals were hauling out and it flew off.
