I have lost the sound on my laptop. This has happened since I had memory problems continually got a message saying my virtual memory was low and laptop was running painfully slow. I was advised that it would need to be put back to as it left the factory and this was done. Since I have been told that this was not needed and at the time I thought it was rather drastic. Anyway it cured the memory problem and it is running faster than it has done for a long time. Only thing is no sound ther isnt even a volume symbol down in the corner where it used to be. Anyone got any ideas?
