View Full Version : Anybody know why this was done
Was out taking pics up around old wick castle thismorning and this caught my eye..... does anyone know of a reason for this being done or is it an act of vandalism... why oh why would someone do this. It is such an eye sore and sticks out a mile on any photos as you can see in the second pic

is that paint? or something growing? how would they even get it there? if it was vandals all i can say .. were they were keen!
It's a sign of a healthy bird population if that's a clue?
It looks like the stuff they paint road markings with
Sparky if it is bird poo...do we have specially trained sea brids that poo yellow and white on mass because there is a distinct colour change from yellow to white?????
Maybe some paint tins fell overboard and the waves made it crash into the cliffs?

Looks like the droppings of sea birds who probably nest on the rock ledges.
The white is 'urine' and the yelowish green is the other stuff.......:)
Does it taste of peppermint?

I was along there the other day and was stood for some time, about in the area of your second photo, but never noticed that.:confused
Thats what it looks like, I dont think it looks like vadelism as such would it not be quite hard to get access there>?

Vandalgull nest site.
I notice some vandals have stolen the lead from Oldwick Castle roof as well. [disgust]
by the colours it looks like a gannet has dived from a great height, missed the water and exploded on the rocks !
