Hi,
My wife and myself have taken a cat we found dead at the roadside to the vets in thurso, no chip was detected, and the body has been stored there.
It was on the main road as you come in to Thurso from Castletown just as the houses start on the left.
It had been dead for some time, it was white with black, ginger and tortoishell bits with a red collar with no tag.
We think it was female but we never actually checked at the time.
Deepest sympathies if it was your pet, I have a few cats and would hate not knowing what had happened to one if it didn't come home.
