Hi I have just been on Scotlands People, looking at the birth of my Great Uncle John Alexander Horne born 22nd April 1890 at ~Spittal, and it stated that his father (my Great Grandad) was an Engine Man at Steel Works, to the best of my knowledge there were no steel works in Caithness, can anyone help, could it be he worked away from Caithness as there was 4years before the next child was born? Thank you.
