Right, rant time!
Sent some documents off to DVLA Inverness (after ringing the helpline to make sure I had everything correct) and it all came back to me today. They want the tax disc that is on the car. Had been advised just to send the serial number of it and expiry date and keep the disc on the car.
Now surely you can't drive about without a valid tax disc showing?
The telephone number on their letter no longer exists, so is the 0300 number to ring again, press 1, press 2 etc! Five flamin' options to go through.
They didn't have a clue why Inverness wouldn't process my request and it is impossible to actually speak to anyone in Inverness local office.
