View Full Version : New Phrases for Caithness
When a person goes missing in Caithness they will be said to "have done a Mowat" lol
Can anyone think of any others?
When someone can't decide what to do it could be "I dinna want to mek a choice"?
When someone knows they are doing something that they know they won't get approval for then 'they are doing a Graeme'
I haven't heard any of these. To get back to something that was mentioned on another thread, iffi now. literally 'If the Now.' To a foriegner learning english, or in fact a person who only talks queen's english - what the heck would that mean?
