Outlook Problem

I have a problem with Microsoft Outlook (not express) closing when minimising its window.
If I have Windows or Browser open together with Outlook, and I switch from Outlook to Windows or browser then there is no problem, but if I am in Outlook and I click minimise then Outlook shuts down and has to be restarted from Start Menu.

Any suggestions?

firstly i would be inclined to do 2 things:

run chkdsk c: /f /v /r
or
right click on your local disc C: under explorer and hit tools

you will need to restart for this to execute

then download and run

glary utils

from majorgeeks

see what those do.

Tried chkdsk, but no joy.
I run Glary at least once a week and it has not picked up any errors in outlook.
I also attempted to repair from Microsoft Office disc but still shutting down

If you have the Outlook icon

(http://forum.caithness.org/#)in your systray (taskbar lower right corner of desktop screen),

RIGHT click on it and uncheck "Hide When Minimized."
