View Full Version : Owl
Every day this owl sits on a fence post at 7am, today was the first time that i was able stop and get a pic of what i think is a Short Eared Owl. (Please correct me if i'm wrong).

Come on Seabird: this is not like you to be asking for support in your bird ID skills is it?
I really wouldn't know about the certain ID of this fine bird, but I will agree with my fellow "Orger" that it is a great shot of a lovely bird.
Please keep them coming.
Beautiful bird - nice shot!
Short eared owl, the only 1 I know that is about in daylight up here, had the pleasure of watching one quartering when we were in Orkney.

What is the approximate size of the owl? As some owls are very similar in looks it is very difficult to say what owl it is from a picture.
Looks like a SEO to me Seabird.
Another great photo Seabird!:D
