Clever little devils

I was waiting for my O/H in the Tesco car park in Thurso today and was surprised to see a couple of House Sparrows hopping along the kerb border of the car park and picking dead insects off the grilles and bumpers of parked cars.

These little fellers do not miss a trick. Talk about "adaptability".

That's amazing!

I was surprised at how many sparrows there are on moving up here - they are seriously on the wane north of the border. Gone are the days they were the most common bird :(
