View Full Version : Are there any Mini owners up here?
Hi,
We're on the cusp of acquiring an old-style Mini and would like to know if there is any kind of club up here for Mini-owners.
As Mini-virgins, we'd like to know if there is anyone who erm, 'specialises' in fixing them, doing them up, tuning them etc., and we're interested in the crack!
Thanks...

Loads of minis up here and I am sure there is an owners club, well there certainly used to be. As for experts in repair most owners probably have to know a bit about fixing them as they are prone to need the odd repair or 2  . I think someone in latheron is a Mini enthusiast.

There is a young man in Bower who restores minis; his website is something like ASKRestorations but I can't find it now. Don't know if it is my computer being moodie or not. Try googling ASKRestorations, good luck.

Thank you everyone!
My fears of being stuck in the middle of nowhere in one of those cars where every panel falls off with a dramatic little explosion have been somewhat laid to rest, and the run to Durness looks like fun.
Think we could bring the dog?
what exactly does the ASK stand for possibly:

Get a beetle the germans made far better cars
Don't do it you two, ditto the beetle comment, more reliable, cheaper etc.....
ASK in the name is in reference to the SK registration all caithness cars once had i think. I've used ASK a few times & cant fault his work, its not just mini's he caters for but will happily do restoration on classic or modern. even the mini's arch enemy "the hillman imp"
Its strange reading a topic where you are being talked about, I am keith from ASK and the website is down just now for a bit of a revamp... but if anyone want to email drop me a line on
[email protected] and yes we will work on anything including Hillman Imps..
