According to reports Israel has asked the UN to suspend its attempts to organise an international inquiry into the Israeli attack on a ship trying to break the blockade of Gaza, which resulted in nine peace protesters being murdered.
The UN has called for an independent inquiry into the attack (but has so far proposed no punitive resolutions against Israel)
Israel on the other hand, has announced its own inquiry but some governments are, quite rightly, a bit cynical about its independence
A new bid to deliver aid by sea is on its way but the Israelis state:
"that some organisation, probably backed by a terror organisation, (is) once again trying to send a vessel into Gaza," he said.
So before the they even know what is on the ship, and who it is from, they are presuming that it is being backed by a "terror" organisation.
With such an aggressive stance can we expect another massacre on the high seas?
