Hi
I have just joined Caithness forum in the hope I can locate my ggggrandparents.
My gggrandfather was James Ferguson born 1820 Wick parents James Ferguson and Catharine Horne.
The only marriage I can find is of Catharine Horne married James Farquharson 1816 Wick.
I cannot find them on 1841 census but have found a Catharine Horne marrying a Robert McLeod 1825 Wick so do not know if this is the correct one and she was a widow.
On son James death cert. it said James father was a carting contractor
Can anyone help please?
