Still looking at image managing software , a friend mentioned Capture NX2. Since I'm using a Nikon camera it might be appropriate. Is anyone using this?

Yes, I use it all the time, it's excellent and it works great for Nikon NEF RAW files, can highly recommend it. Although it's primary role is for Nikon NEF files it will also work with Canon RAW, TIFF and JPEG. It's possible it will also work with other camera manufacturers RAW files, although I haven't tried it.

Gronnuck,

I also use NX2, all my initial processing and RAW conversion is done in it before saving the file as a Tiff, final processing and sharpening done in photoshop. I now find that more and more of the adjustments are done in NX2, photoshop being used where I want to use layers.

For image management, ie. cataloguing etc I use a mixture of applications, have a look at Nikon's View NX, I tend to use this for my initial
sorting and deleting.
