Heather beetle seems to be prolific again; if I remember rightly it's only 3 years since the last big hatch. The cold winter seems to have not done any damage to them. We were at sea a mile out on Sinclair bay on Sunday and the beetles were everywhere. Not much purple on the hill this yearI fear.
