Siskins?

We seem to have a great number of what I believe are siskins ( much smaller than greenfinches, love the peanuts) in the garden this year. Can't say I have ever noticed them before.

probably are siskins, we've had them in our garden for the last couple of years - they love niger seed and fight off the green/gold finches

Yes, we have had quite a few Siskins (for the past two years or so), and just as you say, they appear to really love the Peanuts.

I love them as they appear to be really tiny and delicate.
