I sometimes get that message too. I just ignore it, and try another way. Probably something to do with settings?

that cause you've got a half installed trojan on your PC.

either download and run:
http://www.filehippo.com/download_superantispyware/

or
run this:
http://onecare.live.com/site/en-US/center/howsafe.htm?s_cid=mscom_msrt

then install:
http://www.microsoft.com/security_essentials/

because whatever you have got pretending to be your anti-virus package is crap...sadly!

It could just be that your IE home page is set to point to the PNG file, instead of something like Google, and said PNG file no longer exists in the location shown, hence why you're getting a cannot be displayed error.

Open IE up again, and in the address bar type in http://www.google.co.uk (or whatever you want your home page to be) and press Enter / Return. If the page loads OK then click Tools > Internet Options > click the Use Current button and that will set your home page to the page you have displayed.

Still worth running an anti-malware program (I recommend Malwarebytes (http://www.malwarebytes.org)) to check for the existence of / remove any potential nasties.

just as a side note
ms stuff hates .png image files anyway

so a change of default homepage might be the answer.

i didnt suggest that as hits on that being virus related are quite high if you search on that error.

i'd also set ie to clear internet browsing under the tools/options/advanced tick box

run glary utils or ccleaner too.
