Scot Rail has their over age 55 offer again, anywhere in scotland return for £15. If you have any kind of railcard you get an extra £2 off, this is amazing value.
Now that is interesting, must look into this :D
Club 55 runs from 1 May until 20 June 2010 and you can make as many trips as you like during this period.

I wish you had put that it was over 55 in the title - very misleading.[disgust]
Have to get back on my bike now [lol].
How long does the train take to get to Inverness?
Varies between 3hr 32mins and 3 hrs 43 mins according to timetable from Thurso to Inverness.
Don't forget you will need to provide proof of age when purchasing your ticket. My sister tried that last year, but was 2 weeks too young!
Train to Inverness 4 hours. i dont know of anyone who has been asked for proof of age for the over 55 tickets, a lot of my pals are younger , maybe they look 55.
