The Caithness Rangers are running a moth event at the Sea Drift Centre at Dunnet this weekend.
SATURDAY Meet 8.00pm at the Sea Drift Centre for a wee discussion on moths and how to observe them, with and without a light trap, and also probably a demonstration of making up "sugar" to attract them. Brochures with colour pictures of the commoner moths will be available to take away.
We will then take light traps into Dunnet Forest for people to experience light trapping at first hand. Leave that whenever you want to. (This bit is weather dependent). Bring a torch.
SUNDAY Meet at Sea Drift Centre at 10.00am to open the traps and see what we have caught.
