Am hevan a problem with ma emails

I can receive my emails, but sometimes it takes ages before one I send goes to the "Sent" box. What you think is the problem ??

First of all, how big are e-mails you are sending?

If you are including attachments, depending on size, these will slow down sending your e-mails.

If you are replying to an e-mail, try sending it without including all previous e-mails which you and sender have exchanged.

If you are using Outlook, have you disabled "Schedule send/receive" option (Tools, Send/receive, send/receive setiings)

Thanks for your comments/guidance, but the size of the email and attachments are not the problem I have the same "sticky take-off" when sending just a few words. I'm on Vista and use the Windows mail programme not outlook.

Hi,
I don't use Vista but had a look at OH's machine and loaded up mail.

In [Tools] menu click on [Option] then [Send]
2nd option down is Send Messages Immediatly. Make sure that box is ticked.

That's as far as I can help you as don't know ins and outs of Vista and Mail

Thank you Anfield I've checked that out and the box IS ticked. Perhaps it was just a blip, the two messages I sent this morning went out OK. Never the less I do appreciate your help.
