I have read your message in regard to the subject. What website is CFHS and what does OPR stand for. My wifes father was a Coghill from Keiss so we would be interested in any information in respect to Coghill,s. We reside in Canada so if you would tell me the proper info to log onto the website we would appreciate that. Our e-mail address is gl.martin@shaw.ca. Thank you.

Hallo Gerry,
If you look at the first heading on this page ... Family History Enquiries, there you will find several addresses to help your search.
Caithnessfhs is there too. Some of the sites are free, and ScotlandsPeople will give you most of the information you are looking for - it's not expensive.

OPR stands for Old Parish Records.

But let's get you started on your family history, to give you something to go on. We need names , dates and places, as much as you can and perhaps we can make a start for you.

Good luck
Trinkie
