Does anyone know if there is a track in Rumster forest that picks up the A99 near Forse?
I've only ever followed the track as far as the Outdoor Centre and then took the left turn to track back up to the Achavanich Road.
However, the internet shows a track that continues past the outdoor centre and meets back up at the A99.
Does anyone know if it's a passable track on foot?
aye if you carry on down past the rumster centre you come out at the old lower rumster farm if you folow the track you come out on the a99 wick inverness road

aye, i think you can get through ending up passing e' corr then on to the a9.. Think you would need to take the 2nd road on the left coming from lybster into rumster signmarked 'outdoor centre'. Either the road leading to the mast or the next track after the mast track to your right taking you past a wee quarry can end you up at the corr. Never been all the way through tho. I would try from the corr side and try to make it to rumster. the ordnance appears to cut off but, i think probably passable on foot.

yes you have to go past the old dam and through Nottingham Mains ground.
By the way the Rumster Centre is no more its just rubble now
