Spell checker in Firefox

For some reason the spell checker in Firefox will not work on my laptop. I have the same verison of FF on the PC and it works frin.

I am using FF 3.6

I have had a look through the options but can't see one for spellchecker.
Any ideas?

Go to the "tools" menu, select "options", go to the "advanced" tab (far right) and make sure that "Check my spelling as I type" is checked.

Yup, I have that box ticked, but it dosnt seem to do anything for some reason.

erm ok, do you have the correct (or any) dictionary installed?

To check, got to "tools" menu, select "add-ons" and it should be listed under "extensions".

Also, another way to check, go to the post reply page, right click in the message box, you will either see "add dictionary" or "languages", if its languages then follow that to see if you need to "add dictionary"

Ah that has done it now! I needed to install the dictionary, thanks Niall!
