I know the big snow storms in the Easterm US have been making headlines ("Snowmageddon" they cry!), but the other side of the same continent is having a ridiculously warm winter. You don't think Whistler would be such a popular ski resort if it always had the kind of mild rainy weather they've experienced during the Olympics, do you?

Maybe worldwide its the warmest January.
But its nearly the end of February and im not packing the thermals away yet!
Have not been skiing for the last few years at the cairngorms as my children were too little to be left at grannies and have been annoyed at the great skiing conditions this season:roll:

I cant see how this can be correct tbh, It was the first time Florida had snow for 33 years & the coldest January day they had for over 50.

Wick had more snow this year than it has done for over 30 years, I certainly dont recall as much & everyone being so fed up at the sight of it , Im no lover of snow but even the folk that like snow are fed up of it !!

More propaganda from the conservation crew- BTW any truth that all the polar Bears are moving to Wick & Thurso as its Icy all the bloomin time ???
