Lesser twayblade?
Found this today, very pale greenish yellow flowers and just 2 leaves at right angles to the stem at ground level. Damp margin of the local brook close to the golf course. most of them had flowered and were dying back.
Lesser twayblade?
almost impossible to tell with such a poor picture.
to be honest it looks like a pernicious weed that leaves similar 'pods' once the petals have shed.

I think this is the lesser twayblade, which is quite common here where I live, especially if there is any limey soil. It is an orchid - the picture is not too bad really. The flower is also greenish and would be easily missed in the long grass.
