I made a sponge cake and I dont know what sort of icing to put on it. I dont want butter icing, i dont feel like that, slightly too sweet. When I try to make icing with icing sugar and water, it never hardens properly and tastes too liquidy against the solidity of the cake. I'm looking for a recipe for icing that solidifies well or something I can put on the cake alternative to icing. Thanks

tastes nice on carrot cake.
or chocolate frosting...wont last long..well it doesnt even make it on the cake in our house
or making coffee/orange/lemon water icing as it wont seem so sweet but make it really thick so it sets better.
