I do not need any advice from you Cherokee. When I do need advice from you or anyone else I shall take it upon myself to ask.

Shame on you Stewart4364. One of my pet hates is thread hijackers (even if the subject of your rant is also a personal hate of mine too, that and bad grammer).

I love painting, reading, writing, knitting, embroidery, singing, archery amd just generally creating things. I have been known to escort my OH while he is fishing but prefer indoor activities. I am sure that you will find something and the suggestion of a class or two is a good one.

Many people attend night classes where a variety of topics are taught. Some go to pass the time, others to meet new friends or to study a subject to further their knowledge. Why should someone not attend a class where spelling and/or grammar is taught -- they may feel that through no fault of their own a proper grasp of that particular subject was not achieved when at school and now wish to make the necessary improvements. I have taken the opportunity to attend night classes to further my knowledge of a subject I was particularly interested in and may do so again if the need arose.

This could be contributed to our education system forever being tampered with by Governments and so called "experts". Hopefully common sense will prevail and we can once again achieve an education system to be proud of.

Sharona, pay no heed to those that pick holes in spelling or grammar. As one can tell from Trix's many posts, there is a huge wealth in regional variations and dialects... and they all help to enrich our lives.

Going BACK to the topic of hobbies - my main one is fishing (it can be very restful, being at one with nature), but I also indulge in photography (there are many on the org who will help) and cooking - mostly Indian and Mexican dishes. I also have an allotment and grow a wide range of veggies - it doesn't have to take a huge amount of time.

Hope you find something from all the suggestions that have been made.

Horseriding - never gets dull as you're always learning. Once you get your own you'll never be bored as there's always 'something' to do...
