    Default Please Help

Has anybody bought a hand bag, black leather with a caramel coloured lock round the middle, short strapped medium sized, from a charity shop in Thurso? This bag contained £57.40 and was money raised for race for life and had been put in the bag for safe keeping.
If you have and can to return it please please give me (Simone) a call on 01847891281

    Many thanks.

    Default handbag in charity shop

I like to think there are still good people about, and that they will return the money to you. sadly not always true though, but for your sake I hope they do. Fay

Surely the charity shops check the goods that are handed in before they put them out on display.
I buy bags from charity shops and they tend to be filled inside with something for display purposes.
    good luck.

I was wondering if you had had any luck in finding your money 784Pete?

It is very odd that the charity shop in question didn't check the inside of the bag before putting it out.

When I worked in one of the Thurso shops I certainly would have checked the inside of a bag before putting it out - lets face it - there could be anything in the bag, perhaps something dangerous..

Can't really believe that a charity shop wouldn't check bags, or purses for that matter, before offering them for sale. I imagine that any money found would go in with their takings.

I can assure you that not all goods are checked prior to sale in a charity shops as on 2 occasions my son has bought goods one a video (which was animated porn) and the second a DVD which was a full production advertisment for for smoking cannibis. It ran like a film has a website where you can buy equipment to 'smoke it like they do in the film/advert"...

I doubt you will get it back now, the person who has bought it would of handed it in by now you would think unless they hav'nt found the money yet

It's too bad, especially now that you have to pay for the money you raised out of your own pocket. How frustrating!

Can understand them not being able to check DVD's/videos/CD's ~ was caught out a couple of times years ago with knackered videos and now don't buy them.

Can't imagine anyone buying a handbag, especially from a charity shop, without looking inside it first.
