Default Vista Laptop not loading Windows

    hi all

Hoping someone can help....my other laptop which is on Vista is completely failing to load windows, it goes so far and then just gets stuck on the loading windows banner. Have tried going through the system restore which is backed up on the hard drive as per manufacturers instructions but this also seems to get stuck. I do have a disk with a full version of Vista on it which I could try booting from but not sure how to do it. Normally on XP or windows I would just have gone into dos and done fdisk and then reloaded but no go on this one!!

Any help would be greatfully appreciated, don't need to save anything that is currently on the hard drive of it.

Put in the vista disk and repair.
