I've been having a closer look at the Harbour picture and noticed that what I took to be a blemish, is actually 3 men standing in the tidal mud halfway alongside the hull of the right-hand vessel. Judging by the ladder propped up against the bow it looks as if they were having a break from scraping the keel.
Did that photograph come out of an old guide book? Sorry for being nosey just never seen it before and very impressed with it!
