I was in Wick High Street (outside Post Office) yesterday -about 2pm - the man in front of me tripped - luckily not falling over! but I did think then it looked a bit dangerous for elderly people.
Hi plimsole here jim shoes wee sister
while walking down past houstons today, where they put the pretty grey
slate, i was wearing sensible shoes with normal soles.
As i came to the bend as you head down"by" what used to be the old tourist
information office i slipped.
hurt my lung shoulder and arm while trying to keep myself upright
all i could think is my mums 72 and has been unwell and unsteady on her feet lately
those slates are an accident waiting to happen
i forsee a few broken bones
im relatively young and healthy
so please tell all those who are elderly infirm or ill beware those slates.
Infact just all of you be careful
i would hate to see it during a really bad spell of snow
any one got any deep heat

I too had a problem at the corner round from Houstons going down to Somerfield. There is a dip in the pavement and I felt like I had just gone down a big step without looking. No injuries but also worry how my mother of 80 will do there.
Gave me quite a gluff!
Families are like fudge - mostly sweet with a few nuts.
