EAST OF CAITHNESS INTEGRATED HEALTH & SOCIAL CARE TEAM

COMMUNITY STAFF NURSE (BAND 5)

BASED AT WICK MEDICAL CENTRE

(Salary: £30,229 - £37,664 pro-rata)

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and motivated Band 5 Community Staff Nurse to work as part of the East Caithness Community Nursing Team, based in Wick, delivering nursing care within patients' home environments.

The role will entail that you will process a variety of clinical skills and be able to demonstrate continued personal development. You will have good communication and personal skills, time management and organisational skills. You will need to have the ability to work alone and on your own initiative but still be a team player. You must be adaptable, self-motivated and able to respond to challenges.

This is a part-time permanent post of 22.3 hours per week (22 hours & 18 minutes), covering a 7-day rota. The applicant should be willing to travel effectively and efficiently. A full driving licence is essential and a pool car will be available.

NHS Scotland is reducing their full time working week from 37.5 to 37 hours per week from 1 April 2024 but with no change in pay. This reduction will also be applied pro rata for part time staff. This advert and any subsequent offer/contract of employment therefore reflects the new working hours. However, as not all service areas will be able to adopt the 37 hour working week immediately from 1 April 2024, you may be required to work up to an additional 30 minutes per week for a temporary period for which you would be paid until the service you are working in changes rosters or working patterns to accommodate the new reduced working week. If you have any questions or concerns please contact the Recruiting Board.
