A warm welcome to the 3 of you. Hope everything is going well for you all.
Long overdue i suspect! My wife and i moved up here from darkest essex early 2011 and now live just over the border in Melvich with our five month old daughter, been coming up here for over ten years now and loved it so much... we moved!

Welcome to Scotland - Welcome to the 'Org!
Welcome to the Org.
I hope you are enjoying life in Sutherland. We often enjoy a day "out west" in the better weather.
Making tomorrow`s memories today
Deep into that darkness peering, long I stood there, wondering, fearing, doubting, dreaming dreams no mortal ever dared to dream before.

Welcome to the org, enjoy Scotland
if it wasnt for pubs it would be tescos for us all
You're welcome to Sutherland.
Cheers! i'll keep the north coast bit! Because of my job (non atomic lol) we originally moved to Reay, lovely village, lovely people, great hog roast... Melvich offered a better 'enviroment' for Rowan (old Irish meaning 'Little Red one')
Thanks for the welcome. Tbh im not that keen on the 'flat stuff' i like the hills too

Black joke, a laugh in the face of stupidity, nonsical rubbish tbh. The good and generous people of Reay fed a piggy, my wife fed that piggy. Piggy dead, no sausages... Complete waste of a beast due to jag intervention via the vet. Whatever next? Two dead ponies on cummunal land? put me down for a hornch...
Tbh i dont want this thread polluted, i know i started it but PLEASE keep this where it belongs..

Welcome, I too am a white settler, just fell in love with the place and the people.
Welcome and enjoy just keep the rasher statements coming :0))
Yup! Not many people get the opportunity to live at their favourite holiday destination. Great roads, superb scenery and wildlife. i could carry a camera anywhere and find something to take a piccy of.
Thanks for the welcome! Its nice to be part of a forum which i dont have to moderate, a thankless task at best.
Cheers Bill.
Pic was taken by Tracy Marie (photography) from Thurso, lovely woman and well recommended.
