Threatened to kill dentist allegation
Accused of causing disturbance in clinic
A THURSO man has been accused of causing a disturbance at a local dental clinic and threatening to kill dentist John Barry.
Terence Austin Nichol, 51, pleaded not guilty when he appeared from custody at Wick Sheriff Court, yesterday.
The charges allege that he shouted and swore in the Dunbar Clinic in Thurso's Ormlie Road, yesterday, repeatedly kicked an entrance door and assaulted Irishman Mr Barry by taking a swing at him, in what is claimed to be an offence aggravated by religious prejudice.
Nichol, of 1 Kitty's Pass, Armadale, Thurso, was released on bail by Sheriff Andrew Berry and will return to court for his trial on December 10.
