The Glorious Twelfth by Alan Calder
My second novel, The Glorious Twelfth, set in Caithness has just been published by Museitup as an ebook available on Kindle etc see www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B005BG04SS8
In The Da Vinci Code, Dan Brown's fiction is that the Holy Grail was buried in the crypt of Rosslyn Chapel by the medieval Sinclairs. Right family but wrong place is the premise of The Glorious Twelfth. We've got much better hiding places in Caithness. The novel opens on a dig and the archaeologists start finding clues. The cast of characters includes archaeologists, landed gentry, crofters, Russian oligarchs, and American oilmen. The action ranges from Caithness through France, Italy, Egypt and Poland.
