    Talking Haggis en croute:-)

Thought i would share this receipe with you all it is delicious and really easy. I serve with roast potatoe's, and veg. It is also very nice the day after in a roll or sandwich.

    INGREDIENTS-

2x packs of sliced haggis (8 slices all together)
1x pack of unsmoked bacon (6 slices)
1x pack of ready rolled puff pastry
    1x egg whisked

    METHOD -

    1. Place the pastry flat out on a clean surface.

    2. Take the 8 slices of haggis and hold them together side by side to make a sausage shape.

    3. Cut the fat off the bacon and lay 4 slices of the bacon overlapping each other side by side. To the same length of the haggis sausage.

    4. Now carefully wrap the bacon round the haggis sausage.

    5. You will have 2 bits of bacon left these are for placing on the the 2 ends of the haggis sausage.

    6. Now lift up the bacon and haggis sausage, and place it on 1 end of the pastry and roll up so the whole thing is covered with the pastry. DONT OVER LAP THE PASTRY CUT OF ANY EXCESS!! brush with whisked egg all over.

    7. Place in a greased tin cover with foil.

    8. Place in a oven for 1/2hr with the foil on then remove the foil for the last 1/2hr.

    9. Enjoy its bonny an good!!!
