Speckled Wood butterfly at Dunnet Forest
Unidentified flying bug that caught my attention (also at Dunnet)
Hat crawlies but these bugs are fascinating close up! Is that bugs ON the unidentified bug?
What a great lot of pictures.
Love the berberis scunner am tempted to convert that into a jigsaw!
Has any one managed to get a decent shot of the Dark Fritillery butterfly? I tried several times but with no success and it's such a beauty.
This looks like a Sexton Beetle to me. Infested with mites by the looks of things. SBs lay their eggs next to carcasses which they have buried for that purpose - hence the name.
Some cracking photo again on here scunner those last 2 are fabulous.
