well done to rick and andy and the rest of local surfers. you put in a lot of work behind the scenes getting this competition of the ground and running smoothly. big pat on the back for all of you. its fantastic to see thurso get the coverage it deserves for the fantastic surf. well done all. you done thurso proud

It's nice to see that at least somebody is trying to put Caithness on the list of places to visit in Scotland. A big well done to the organisers.

However, isn't it disgraceful that a small group of individuals are doing more to promote Caithness than those who are paid to have a responsibility for doing that.

thats typical. especially for surfing. there seems to be a serious lack of support from any of the "official funding" bodies up here. thurso has one of the best surf breaks and very little is being done to support it. if it wasnt for the local surfers there would be no facilities at all here for surfers who travel here constantly from all over the world

Yes, well done to the surfers for promoting Caithness! A good example of how to get off our butts and do something positive for the county! It can be done....
