    Default Wot fish?

Found this on Sinclair bay beach this morning.

It's a bit of a mess and could have been in the sea for a long time in this cold weather - so it could have drifted from anywhere, I guess.

I think it's possibly some sort of Bream..any ideas, anyone?

Anyone spotted/caught any live versions around out coastline?

Ray's bream brama brama, lots seem to wash up during the Winter months. there is a web page showing the reported sightings.
One found by Highland Ranger Paul Castle at Dunnet last week.

Mnay thanks for the positive ID, folks.

Seabird, do you have Rays' number? He may want to come and get his Bream back.

    Default High value fish

A Bream spotting sight surely alerts commercial fisherman of fish movements and availability in the same way that tagging does - unfortunately for Bream they are pricey like Bass - and look at the hammering they've took since they made their way north.
