Just to inform everyone that the January edition of "The Scots Magazine "
Has a 4 page informative article with the names of locals involved & employed on the above railway.

Wasn't the Lybster Railway 1903/1944 or did I miss something?

    Default Wick to Lybster Railway

    Wick and Lybster Light Railway.
    By Iain Sutherland

On the 1st July 1903 there were approximately 500,000 miles of railway track in the world……………..
Of that total 13 miles 3 furlongs and 9 chains would it’s way past the farms, crofts and heath that lay on the eastern seaboard of Caithness between Wick and Lybster…………..

Mosser - That is roughly what Iain Sutherland opens his Book with.

I have not yet read the Scots Magazine, I’ll get mine third hand, in a few months time. But I do look forward to it.

I am intrested in Schlod Railway, as my mother was born in the Railway Cottages there and my grandfather George Campbell Bremner was a linesman. Married to Alexandrina Gunn. Any infomormation you may have would be greatly appreciated.
