    Exclamation Snow Watch

There was a fascinating prog on BBC2 tonight, "Snow Watch" which explained a lot about the unusual behaviour in certain types of birds during this unusual weather.
It was a change to the scheduled progs, so maybe people were unaware of it, but it might be on the BBC i-player.
    Very interesting! Well worth watching.

I watched it as well. It was really interesting. Knowing the BBC, they're bound to repeat it.

I was scared to watch it in case it showed anything horrible like animals starving due to the snow.

Will catch up with it on I-Player now.

Here is one little beauty the snow can bring in large numbers.

It was one of a flock of 200-300. We did however see one of 800+ at Noss head a week or so ago.

It was indeed a fantastic programme. I happened upon it by accident and sent text to my birding buddy in case she didn't know.

It will be Garden Birdwatch soon so that will be another thing to watch out for.

The crew of Snowatch have a good rapport and they are both fun and informative.

Had a run to Noss today to see if there were any of the 2000+ geese or 800+ snowbunting still around that I enjoyed during the snowy days but alas no.
    Thanks
    Catherine
