    What a brilliant story of a wonderful dog.

    How lovely that these soldiers should be considering the plight of this lovely dog when they are in such danger themselves.

    Here's hoping he will get a wonderful home and he deserves a medal as well.

    Bless that dog............is there a fund we can donate to,to get him home??I think the dog should be brought home by the army..........he deserves it.

    How typical, "When we go out on Patrol we've stopped taking the dog, it's too dangerous for him."
    That sounds just about right for a group of British Squaddies.

    Another great example of animal loyalty to humans and their wish to protect their friend...what a difference to the disgusting treatment by humans to the much loved family dogs in the other thread on the Pet section at the moment,some animals are adored some suffer indescribable treatment...

    If you like this story it's REALLY worth reading the book 'One dog at a time' by Pen Farthing, it is in either Wick or Thurso library (Thurso I think).
