    Default storks

    hi i was on the train at the weekend and saw lods of storks feeding on thurso river it was wonderfull to see.

    Sorry cezzy1234, but we dont get storks here.
    It could have been Herons though.

    Is this a general holiday or a specialised bird watching holiday?

    Has anyone heard the first cuckoo of the year in Caithness or has the cold weather held them back.
    I heard one in Ardnamurchan on the 20th. of last month which I'm sure is way before anything I've heard before. Does anyone write in to the Groat with this information like they do south of the border to the Times?

    I am going to see them in Turkey, you always see them flitting around the flowers, absolutely beautiful but impossible to take a photo of lol I have tried!
